Why kids like to buzz on smartphone so much?

This happens because children understand what others are dependent on and are just trying to explore and copy their behavior. Needless to say, even we adults are often subconsciously influenced by others. Shortly before my daughter Livia was one year old, my friend decided to visit us. With great enthusiasm, he took up the topic of doljanchi, an interesting Korean ceremony that he had recently attended. Its essence lies in the fact that on his first birthday, the child himself can choose his future.

It is enough to put him in front of an assortment of different items and let him choose something that he likes. But the choice of the kid should become a real forecast for the future: if he chooses a banana, he will never feel hungry, a book – his destiny is science, a silver coin – constant wealth, and so on.

What can I say, I was really intrigued. That evening, I sat Livia in front of a variety of objects: a stethoscope (could she become a doctor?), A toy dog (a veterinarian?), A plant (a Greenpeace activist?), Noodles (a chef?) And a color brain model (a scientist in the field of neuroscience?). And what did my daughter do? She sat for a while, carefully examined all the objects and reached after my phone, which I left on the edge of the table for my carelessness. To be honest, I shouldn’t even have been surprised. She is really addicted to this device. For her, there is no difficulty in getting up and walking the whole room, just to reach the desired object. Hannah does it so cleverly that sometimes, when she’s heading to the phone, it seems to me that her goal is to check her mail and update her status on her Facebook page. However, of course, this is not included in her plans at all (she is only a year old!).

Despite this, she really needs the phone in order to put it in her mouth and start actively chewing. And even if she can’t figure out the smartphone, it cannot force her to abandon her intentions. My daughter should always get what she wants. The most amazing thing is that she is not at all attracted by the sound or the glow of the phone, because she has many similar bright and loud toys (which, unfortunately, are increasingly left without her attention).
