ESSOR/GACC/APACC

These seem to be small projects run by local NGOs with occasional technical support from the French organisation ESSOR. They operate in rural areas of NE Brazil and are not school based, the adult workers on the programmes being health and community development workers. The main focus is on health education and combating drug misuse. Children are encouraged to think and make their own decisions. Some monitoring and training take place and materials based on Child-to-Child originals have been developed in Portuguese. Read more
