Relevant background information

The Child-to-Child approach was not widely used in Malawi until the last decade, when materials and approaches were used through the Community Schools Project in association with the Malawi Institute of Education.

In 2000, six of the readers in Chichewa (on Nutrition, Water, Pneumonia, Flies, Re-hydration and Management of Fever) were published by AGLC Press, Limbe for the MACOHA Community Based Rehabilitation project. Copies are also available in London.
