The ChildPro manual
This handbook, subtitled The Practice of Children’s Participation in Development, was published by the PLAN Region of the Caribbean and Central America (ROCCA) located in Guatemala, Available in both Spanish and English it gives excellent practical advice on the organisation and methodology of training. This handbook advocates its own ‘childpro methodology’ which is inspired by many of the same principles as Child-to-Child and also advocates methods which promote activities and develop lifeskills. It would prove an excellent resource for trainers particularly when used alongside other Child-to-Child resources. It is particularly strong in presenting material linked with children’s understanding promotion and action in relation to the Rights of the Child.
