Our consultancy service
Over the past 30 years the Child-to-Child Trust has built up a wealth of expertise and knowledge on child participation. The Child-to-Child Approach is a rights based approach and has drawn and continues to draw on the aspirations outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
From the very beginning the passion to make a difference to children’s lives has been there. In 1978 Hugh Hawes (Institute of Education) and David Morley (Institute of Child Health) sat down together and decided to do something to mark the International Year of the Child. They invited a group of world renoun experts in the field of child development to gather for a two week long meeting, here in London. The Child-to-Child Trust was founded and out of this meeting came the first Child-to-Child activity sheets; these are still being used today.
The Trust continues to build on the expertise and knowledge of the organisation’s founders while adapting to the needs of a modern developing world. We can offer the services of consultants and advisors that can assist with programme development, training, materials development, monitoring and evaluation and mentoring.
The Child-to-Child methodology is very flexible and can be applied to different cultural contexts. Our consultants are based in a range of countries, including the UK, Asia, Africa, North America and the Middle East and are in a position to travel worldwide.
